When my beautiful little girl was born in 2002, she unfortunately was blessed with my feet. I was very frustrated with the lack of shoes available for wide, thick feet, until I discovered a shoe made in China called the Squeaky Shoe. I could not believe I had never seen this shoe before.

Finally I had one shoe that fit correctly and helped with her stability and balance. The shoe also encouraged her to walk with the help of a two-way squeaker in the heel that only squeaked when she walked heel to toe. I soon figured out that it was very important that children’s little feet have a soft, flexible shoe that will fit their feet without binding or rubbing against the skin.

In response to this need I created Mooshu Trainers in 2005. I wanted to design shoes that adhere to three core principles; width, thickness, and flexibility without compromising style. From Mary Janes, sandals, to tennis shoes there is a style that every child can enjoy for years to come.

I just found your site and read about how Mooshu got its start. Like you, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who was "blessed" with my feet!!! Wide and stumpy, I like to call them! Catherine Frances celebrated her 1st birthday in April of this year and we had been struggling to find her shoes that fit her fat little foot. I was very picky because I wanted good, sturdy shoes that would be supportive and help her as she began walking, but I also wanted cute shoes!

Our good friend, Barbara, at Toy Fair here in Shreveport (which, incidentally, is where MY mom shopped for my shoes when I was a child!!!) recommended the Mooshus to us and it has been a match made in heaven!!! We started with a Mary Jane, and this summer we moved into the flower sandal. She has them in silver and white, and she wears them EVERY day. She loves them. They are sturdy yet very soft, which is hugely important; we bought her some Sun Sans a couple of months ago and they have stayed in the closet because they cut into her instep!

The Mooshu's are the absolute best shoes we have found! I am looking at the Mary Janes for the fall already, and I know she will live in them once the weather cools down a bit. The red leather and black patent Mary Janes are precious...especially the ones with the "bling" one them!!! SO cute! Until then, Catherine Frances will be living in the flower sandals! She is now 15 months old and is running! The Mooshu's have been great for her walking!!

Thanks for such a great product and for giving us an alternative to the "Frankenstein" shoes I had to endure as a child! The Mooshu's have liberated my "fat footed" baby and given her precious shoes!
